Ok, So Relay for Life was pretty much the most amazing thing ever.
It started off with people being hot in the sun and setting up and then we listened to people open the thing with speeches. I know this sounds horrible but, I couldn't contain myself during the
"Blessing" thing. I was laughing. Openly. I mean, come on, It started off by saying "OH! GREAT AND WONDERFUL, AWESOME GOD" lmao.
Then began the Survivors Lap. My eyes teared up. It was moving. Seeing all these people who had the strength to beat the cancer was inspirational.
Then, we decided to give free hugs. We made signs and hugged people. LOTS of people. Loads of people. It was amazing. We made friends (Andy, Ray and David <3<3), made people smile, and ate nerds <3
They lit the candles at 9:15. I have never cried that much in public before in my life. Everyone was sobbing openly. We were all in a group attempting to comfort each other. When the ceremony was over and we were left sniffley Ms. Katz attempted to cheer us up with produce. "Juice! *bounce* I HAVE JUICE *bounce*"
Hilarious.
The free hugs continued. Allison and I walked around loads because I had to pee. We then met Andy and Ray, two of the most huggable fellows ever.
Allison quote: "Nighttime HUGS ARE THE BEST HUGS"
Lulzcakes.
CC+four tall guys+tackleglomphuggle=Amazing.
That is just the surface of all the awesome that occured.
I can't sum it all up. It was great. It was amazing, It was moving. I am so tot. deff. doing it next year.
Yeaaaah.
